After working on a sculpture of a horse for more than 2 months the work had seemed to become dead and redundant, the story behind it was my interpretation of the lady godiva story, the woman riding her horse through town, naked as to stand up against her husband, the lord. In my retelling I believed the horse to be the ego of her husband, sleeping and fallen beneath the weight of his wife, still a child. I realized at a certain point that the horse had become a symbol of my own ego by this point and that I had become stubborn, tired and unhappy in working on it. I decided to finish the work I would need to break down what I was afraid of losing and build it again with vitality so that I may free both myself and the Horse/Myth of it's tired weight.
